Wayne Co, MI – Injury Crash on I-75 SB at Gibraltar

Wayne Co, MI (May 8, 2025) – A two-vehicle injury crash occurred early Thursday morning on the southbound side of I-75 at Gibraltar Rd, leading to serious traffic disruptions and at least one person being hospitalized.

According to authorities, the crash took place at approximately 12:58 a.m. and involved two vehicles that collided in the center and right lanes of I-75 SB. Emergency crews from Wayne County Fire and EMS responded quickly to the scene. Firefighters assisted in clearing the wreckage and helped stabilize one of the victims, who sustained injuries consistent with blunt force trauma and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The other driver was treated for minor injuries and did not require hospitalization.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed at this time.
