Wesley Chapel, FL – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75/St Rd 54 and 56 Injures Driver

Wesley Chapel, FL (December 18, 2024) – A multi-vehicle collision involving two semi-trucks on I-75 in Wesley Chapel injured one driver on Wednesday morning, December 18. The crash occurred around 8 a.m. between State Road 54 and State Road 56, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The incident began when a BMW 330E traveling southbound changed lanes into the path of a semi-truck, leading to a collision. The impact propelled the BMW 330E into a stationary BMW X7. The semi-truck continued forward, striking a GMC Denali pickup and a second semi-truck. Emergency responders arrived promptly to assess the scene. The driver of the GMC Denali pickup, a 50-year-old man from Brooksville, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Fortunately, the other drivers involved in the crash escaped unscathed. Authorities spent several hours investigating the crash and clearing debris. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate the events leading to the accident.
