Wood County, OH – Six Arlington Students Injured in I-75 Near North Baltimore Bus Collision
Wood County, OH (September 7, 2023) – A collision on I-5 near North Baltimore on the evening of September 7th resulted in injuries to six Arlington Local Schools students. The incident occurred when a pickup truck collided with an Arlington Local Schools bus, which subsequently came to a stop on an exit ramp.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the collision occurred at around 9:15 p.m. Both the bus and the Dodge Ram pickup truck were traveling southbound on I-75, near Eagleville Road. The impact of the crash caused the pickup truck to veer off the road, crash through a fence, and ignite in flames on Insley Road on the west side of I-75.
The six juveniles on the school bus sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the Dodge Ram pickup truck suffered serious injuries and is now in police custody, as confirmed by OSHP. The driver initially fled the scene but was subsequently arrested.
