Atlanta, GA – Fatal Two-Car Crash on I-75 NB at Mt Paran Rd

Atlanta, GA (December 13, 2025) – A deadly two-vehicle crash on Friday, December 12, resulted in one fatality on Interstate 75 in northwest Atlanta. The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of I-75 near Mt Paran Road, according to Atlanta police.

Authorities said the driver of one vehicle lost control while traveling northbound. The car left the roadway, struck a concrete barrier wall, and then re-entered traffic. Moments later, it collided with a second vehicle traveling in the same direction. The driver who lost control was pronounced dead at the scene.

A passenger riding in the exact vehicle suffered injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police have not released an update on the passenger’s condition. The driver of the second vehicle was not injured in the crash.

Officers secured the scene and began a detailed investigation to document evidence and determine contributing factors. At the same time, traffic impacts lasted several hours. The investigation into this fatal accident remains ongoing as police continue to review the circumstances.
