Sarasota, FL – Fatal DUI Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 Kills Two
Sarasota, FL (December 14, 2025) – Two people were killed on Sunday, December 14, following a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 75 in Sarasota County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a Toyota Camry and a Nissan Pathfinder were traveling northbound near mile marker 203 when the collision occurred around 3:39 p.m.
Troopers said the Camry struck the Pathfinder, forcing the SUV off the roadway. The Pathfinder crashed into a tree, causing fatal injuries to both occupants. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The Camry’s driver, identified as 41-year-old Fred Donalson of Ohio, was arrested for DUI manslaughter. He was later booked into the Sarasota County Jail. Authorities continue investigating the crash.
